Is there a way to remount the gluster filesystem without killing all processes and unmounting it first?

root@ubuntu:/unify/m# grep 'unify' /etc/fstab
/usr/local/etc/glusterfs/glusterfs.vol /unify glusterfs defaults 0 0
root@ubuntu:/unify/m# mount -o remount /unify
/sbin/mount.glusterfs: according to mtab, GlusterFS is already mounted on /unify
