I have seen this error before, in a scenario where self-heal is prevented by a file being open but the machine hasnread-subvolume set to the node that hasn't got the file on it. Could this be related? Our workaround is to run the program binary from a NFS partition mounted via GbE while continuing to access data files and doing MPI/IO in glusterfs
