GlusterFS for file server via web

Is GlusterFS idea for serving images via a webserver? I know there's
a mod_gluster module for Apache, what is the speed like pulling a file
from that vs pulling from the filesystem via Apache/Lighttpd/nginx?
Also, can anyone comment on how GlusterFS stacks up against Lustre
and/or MogileFS for this kind of application? I'm spec'ing out a
cluster that will start at 60TB (current data is ~48TB) and grow from
there. All files will need to be web accessible, thus my initial
questions about speed. I'm updating my test boxes to Debian Squeeze
since I see they have GlusterFS 2.0 in now.

Thanks

P
