"rpmbuild --ta glusterfs-2.0.0rc1.tar.gz --without modglfs" with let you compile glusterfs without mod_glusterfs.

you can disable mod_glusterfs (since it is the one which is causing build problem) using
rpm -ivh glusterfs<version>.rpm --without modglfs
But please keep us informed about the queries which I asked, since it will help us to fix the problem in mod_glusterfs.
