hi guys. I have trouble compiling your patched fuse source. I have +- same errors as: http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.file-systems.fuse.devel/6588 uname -a Linux glusterfs1 2.6.24-19-server #1 SMP Wed Jun 18 14:44:47 UTC 2008 x86_64 GNU/Linux I have installed the the kernel source in /usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.24-19-server/ ./configure --prefix=/usr --enable-kernel-module --with-kernel=/usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.24-19-server/ ....... root@glusterfs1:~/dload/fuse-2.7.3glfs10# make Making all in kernel make[1]: Entering directory `/root/dload/fuse-2.7.3glfs10/kernel' make -C /usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.24-19-server/ SUBDIRS=`pwd` modules make[2]: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.24-19-server' CC [M] /root/dload/fuse-2.7.3glfs10/kernel/dir.o /root/dload/fuse-2.7.3glfs10/kernel/dir.c: In function âiattr_to_fattrâ: /root/dload/fuse-2.7.3glfs10/kernel/dir.c:1027: error: âstruct iattrâ has no member named âia_fileâ make[3]: *** [/root/dload/fuse-2.7.3glfs10/kernel/dir.o] Error 1 make[2]: *** [_module_/root/dload/fuse-2.7.3glfs10/kernel] Error 2 make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.24-19-server' make[1]: *** [all-spec] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/root/dload/fuse-2.7.3glfs10/kernel' make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 Found yet another article about the same stuff: http://staff.science.uva.nl/~delaat/sne-2007-2008/p04/report.pdf He downgraded to Ubuntu-7 which I think is bad practice... How can I get past this ? I really want to use all extra I|O performance I can get and therefore want to use the patched FUSE.
