thanks so much, that worked! We moved one step forward and are now
meeting another problem. I think it's also a problem of not being
familiar with rpmbuild grammar. Our problem now is:
# rpmbuild -ta glusterfs-1.3.8pre6.tar.gz
error: Failed build dependencies:
libtool is needed by glusterfs-1.3.8pre6-1.x86_64
We have checked wether we have libtool and it seems we do:
# rpm -qi libtool-libs
Name : libtool-libs Relocations: (not relocatable)
Version : 1.5.6 Vendor: CentOS
Release : 4.EL4.2 Build Date: Sat 14 Jul 2007
09:27:25 PM CEST
Install Date: Tue 22 Apr 2008 03:03:51 PM CEST Build Host: builder6
Group : System Environment/Libraries Source RPM:
libtool-1.5.6-4.EL4.2.src.rpm
and according to yum we have libtool-libs-1.5.6-4.EL4.2.i386 and
libtool-libs-1.5.6-4.EL4.2.x86_64 installed.
We have googled for this dependency problem but have not found a
solution. How do we make rpmbuild know where libtool is? Thanks,
