Hi all, GlusterFS-1.3.8pre5 (Release candidate for 1.3.8-stable) is available for download now. < http://ftp.zresearch.com/pub/gluster/glusterfs/1.3/glusterfs-1.3.8pre5.tar.gz > I would like to add upon the latest features added to GlusterFS after 1.3.7 release: (I know that its a long time since 1.3.7 is out and most of our user base is using GlusterFS from latest TLA, but it goes for the record). * Enhancements in self-heal feature of both unify and afr translators. * Improvement in memory usage * Ported server to OpenSolaris, MAC OS X. (Some Issues reported over FreeBSD, not tested completely) * Authentication is a module now. And we have two modules (auth.ip, and auth.login now) * Booster translator * Switch scheduler (which schedules the files according to their pattern) * Lot more changes in logging We have freezed feature addition to 'glusterfs--mainline--2.5' and it will get only bug fixes from now on. So, those who are using earlier versions, please give this tar ball a try and do let us know the problems if you get any (and I doubt that :), so we can get a stable 1.3.8 release sooner, which inturn helps us to start development on our features for 1.4 release.
