Thanks, I'll plan on setting it up, I'm waiting for some extra equipment. I had a second confusion as to the two Brick-ns configuration. Shouldn't the namespace brick only be specified once outside of the AFR? If brick123 and brick45 each have their own namespace, there could be out of sync problems. > Date: Fri, 14 Dec 2007 11:45:24 +0530 > From: krishna@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > To: deedee6905@xxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: Re: Is this a valid AFR config? > > DeeDee, > Yes it is valid, let me know if it does not work. > Krishna > > On 12/13/07, DeeDee Park <deedee6905@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > > > > Basically where the AFR is on top of two unify volumes. > > > > > > volume brick1-500GB > > type protocol/client > > option transport-type tcp/client > > option remote-host 192.168.1.11 > > option remote-subvolume brick > > end-volume > > volume brick2-500GB > > type protocol/client > > option transport-type tcp/client > > option remote-host 192.168.1.12 > > option remote-subvolume brick > > end-volume > > volume brick3-500GB > > type protocol/client > > option transport-type tcp/client > > option remote-host 192.168.1.13 > > option remote-subvolume brick > > end-volume > > > > volume brick4-750GB > > type protocol/client > > option transport-type tcp/client > > option remote-host 192.168.1.14 > > option remote-subvolume brick > > end-volume > > volume brick5-750GB > > type protocol/client > > option transport-type tcp/client > > option remote-host 192.168.1.15 > > option remote-subvolume brick > > end-volume > > > > volume bricks123-1500GB type cluster/unify > > subvolumes brick1-500GB brick2-500GB brick3-500GB > > option scheduler alu > > option namespace brick-ns > > end-volumevolume bricks56-1500GB type cluster/unify > > subvolumes brick4-750B-4 brick5-750GBGB > > option scheduler alu > > option namespace brick-ns > > end-volume > > > > volume afr > > type cluster/afr > > subvolumes bricks123 bricks45 > > end-volume > > > > _________________________________________________________________ > > i'm is proud to present Cause Effect, a series about real people making a difference. > > http://im.live.com/Messenger/IM/MTV/?source=text_Cause_Effect_______________________________________________ > > Gluster-devel mailing list > > Gluster-devel@xxxxxxxxxx > > http://lists.nongnu.org/mailman/listinfo/gluster-devel > > _________________________________________________________________ Don't get caught with egg on your face.
