Hardware Architecture Question
[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]
If you are serving up lets say IMAP Directories and Websites from
GlusterFS, is it more beneficial to have many smaller 1U servers with
big drives and perhaps a replica count of 3 or 3 large storage boxes?
Does GlusterFS benefit from this approach at all?
Also what are considerations for CPU/RAM? Is there a threshold on
RAM/CPU where obviously another brick is in order rather than upgrading
hardware?
I apologize for the naivety, just getting familiar with GlusterFS and
how it utilizes resources.
Thanks,
John
