Thanks for notifing the bug. I have the fix which I will check it in
after the savannah servers come up (they are down due to
hardware failure, they are setting it right)

directory mtimes are preserved but the symlink and file mtimes are not. Also,
looking at the underlying filesystems (in a cluster/afr mirror), I note that
only one of them has the correct directory mtimes, while the mirror filesystem
