Update of bug #17323 (project gluster):

                  Status:                    None => Confirmed

Follow-up Comment #1:

The issue is that FILE * based operations are failing when using over a
socket for parallel read/writes.

The low level protocol has been changed  and read/write based operations will
be done now.
