LOL. Most of these seem totally unrelated to VCS's.

Most of the news that it finds for those "trends" for git are for things 
like Larry the cable guy's "git-r-done" thing (and "Two more Git-N-GO 
stores robbed". I'm not sure that's really relevant to the SCM ;)

Similarly, your bzr|bazaar seems to be all about the "bazaar" part, not 
about the SCM itself (drop "bazaar" from there, and the trends are very 
different, especially for that huge peak in India).

And "hg" seems to be about HG Wells and HG BISSINGER and Sandisk/Sony 
"Memory Stick Pro-HG" Format, based on the news hits and on the fact that 
the "trend" has actually stayed fairly constant since 2004, and since hg 
the VCS was started in 2005, it's either a sign of finding something else, 
_or_ about the incredible prescient powers of internet users.

But the SVN hits might actually be about subversion.

So if you do just the trend for bzr and svn, I think you have something.
