It would. But it locks Firefox up and does not seem to allow to add anything to the "debate": I had to kill mine twice before giving up. Others seem to have the same problem: SVN is listed twice in the responses to the question (I guess they were just more persistent than me or just more used to do the same boring thing).
Thanks for trying. I use firefox 2.0.0.11 on linux, but I haven't had the same problem. Those pesky SVN people. If you have some points to make, i can add them for you under the git someone else added.
