GSoC for 2024 is already over, and we have not yet started to think
about GSoC 2025. So while you are of course free to start working on any
of the microprojects and contribute to Git, this would not be in the
context of GSoC for now. You should keep an eye on the mailing list and
on official announcements made by Google to learn when the next set of
GSoC projects will be announced.
