git clone has a very helpful %complete indicator that lets me know my system has not locked up. Unfortunately, the git submodule command has no %complete indicator. My team has a repository that takes 5-10 minutes to complete the git submodule command. They warned me to just let it run, and they were right. I would have killed and restarted it if they didn't tell me. Please add a %complete indicator to the git submodule command. Thanks, Gene
