Sorry for being unclear here. A pseudo-merge "commit" refers to a conceptual octopus-merge commit whose parents are the ones listed in the "parents" bitmap of the pseudo-merge bitmap, as defined. The "objects" bitmap is the set of objects reachable from that imaginary commit, or, equivalently, the intersection of objects reachable from the commits listed in the parents bitmap.
