Git Pathspec bug

I executed the following command in zsh (added `command` just to be sure 
that there's no aliases or functions)

command git submodule add 
'git@xxxxxxxxxx:moritz-t-w/Godot-Onscreen-Keyboard.git' '.'
fatal: empty string is not a valid pathspec. please use . instead if you 
meant to match all paths

Git Version: 2.42.0

OS: Arch Linux
