[PATCH v7 00/19] leak fixes: various simple leak fixes

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

See

for the v6. Changes since then:

* Corrected the 17/19 commit message to note that it free()'s an
entire allocated struct, not just its "flex" member.

* Per my replies on 18/19 and 19/19 in v6 I think those commit
messages are correct as-is, so sending this in in case Junio's OK
  with picking up this version.

    - receive-pack: free() the "ref_name" in "struct command"
+ receive-pack: release the linked "struct command *" list

Fix a memory leak that's been with us since this code was introduced
    - in 575f497456e (Add first cut at "git-receive-pack", 2005-06-29). See
    - eb1af2df0b1 (git-receive-pack: start parsing ref update commands,
    - 2005-06-29) for the later change that refactored the code to add the
    - "ref_name" member.
+ in [1]. Later in [2] we started using FLEX_ALLOC_MEM() to allocate the
    + "struct command *".
