From: Alison Winters <alisonatwork@xxxxxxxxxxx> If GIT_COMPLETION_IGNORE_CASE is set, --ignore-case will be added to git for-each-ref calls so that refs can be matched case insensitively, even when running on case sensitive filesystems.
