This is with the 64-bit version of 2.16.1. Switching to the 32-bit version resolved the problem for me. Can you please test with v2.16.2 (you can use the 64-bit Portable Git if you want to keep your current installation), and if the problem still persists please open a ticket here: https://github.com/git-for-windows/git/issues/new Ciao, Johannes
