Hello Matthieu,

I thought curl was installed correctly on the server, but apparently it
was only the curl binaries (no headers/libs).

So what I did (for the records):

1) compile curl-7.38.0, prefix /usr/local/curl-7.38.0 (so that my system
curl is not impacted)
2) configure git with: CC=/opt/SUNWspro/bin/cc ./configure
--with-curl=/usr/local/curl-7.38.0 --without-tcltk
--prefix=/usr/local/git-1.9.0

And now, git is operational (I don't need the gui).

Thanks for your help!
