When I create the symbolic-ref @, I'm not _exactly_ creating a synonym for HEAD: @{u} works, not @@{u}. Many people are confused by this patch (reflog? HEAD@ versus master@? incomplete due to { omission?), and I'm not sure HEAD@ or master@ are even useful.
