End of year project : Gate Between Git and Mediawiki

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi,

We are 4 students from Ensimag, a French engineering school of
computer science  and are planning to develop during four weeks a gate
between Git and Mediawiki as our end of year project.
Our goal is to create something in the line of git svn, applied to
mediawiki powered wikis.
Matthieu Moy, active member of the community and our teacher, is
supervising the project along with Sylvain Boulmé (in CC of this
mail), and sent you the idea a few months ago. In the process, Jeff
King sent a quick and dirty perl code which does the mediawiki
fetching part. We intend to improve it in order to facilitate
mediawiki -> git. We also plan to use remote-helpers and fast-import
to have the best compatibility overtime.
We will most likely contact you during the next weeks to report status
on this project and get suggestions on more specific points. In the
meantime, feel free to give any suggestion on such a project.

Thank you for your help,
Best regards,

David Amouyal, Claire Fousse, Jérémie Nikaes & Arnaud Lacurie
