That was primarily a note to myself attached to that one commit. Because I pull all the changes to git-gui from Shawn (and gitk from Paulus) using subtree merge, I do not want to apply patches that touch git-gui/ (or gitk-git/) part myself. Sometime later when the earlier patches in your series prove to be 'next'-worthy, I'll have to nag Shawn to accept it to his tree (we might need to devise a transition strategy so that people who want to use slightly newer git-gui with older git won't get hurt).
