Would it be able to automatically convert an svn repo that started
life without the trunk/branches/tags hierarchy, but was added
after-the-fact?

I know I might be asking too much here :)

I'm currently planning on migrating my $DAY_JOB team from svn to git,
and I'm thinking of testing your work if it could do the above without
manual intervention.

For what it's worth, I'm happy with git-svn, and just thought that I
might be able to give you feedback since I'm currently in the midst of
migrating.
