How to log a host (or a repository) of a commit?

Hi.

Is there a way of logging (an retrieveing this information) where a
commit has been created and keeping it when merging/pulling/pushing? For
me It may be either a host or a repository. The host would be slightly
better as I have some repositories on flash drives.
