Hmmph.

I would cherry-pick with --no-commit and then make two notes in
the final commit message, e.g.:

  ...

  Temporary-revert: $REVERTCOMMIT
  Originally: $FIRSTCOMMIT
  Signed-off-by: ...

so we can "thread" them with hyperlinks in viewers.
