fwiw, it's been a very long time since this tool worked. I used to use it all the time, so I miss it too. It's a shame it's abandoned, as it was one of the power tools of GIMP. I'd like to offer a bounty to get someone to fix it, however, all I can offer is design work (logos, avatars, wallpapers, 3D stuff) and maybe some fame in the form of a video of the tool, and who to thank for fixingit in return, which I'm happy to do. Any interested parties, just let me know. :) I'll sing your praises all over the internet.
