I have just now updated a bit the docs for: - zlib compression (which is now a possible internal tile compression); - new layer modes; - update in the header with the "precision" field. See the recent log commits: https://git.gnome.org/browse/gimp/log/devel-docs/xcf.txt There is at least one more update relative to group mask. I will do this tomorrow. There are also some changes relative to endianness, but I'll have to dig deeper (it looks like it was only a bug which would have touched some development XCF format only).
