Americo, Just make a symlink to get past the error. Something like: ln -s /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libgexiv2.so /usr/local/lib/libgexiv2.so etc. Though, linux systems use the silly "la" files, and so this may not work. Better to check and see if it does work. Otherwise, yes, modify your LDFLAGS.
