There was discussion in 2009 about adding a HSL color picker to GIMP.

I was wondering if any developments had been made in this direction? To
be honest I didn't understand the latter portions of the discussion. But
as someone who grew up using Paint Shop Pro I would really like to see
it make an appearance!
