I'd nominate any code using the HSV, or value independently; to be up
for review and removal in some gimp release after 2.10.

Value is defined as the maximum of red, green and blue. Which makes
sense in both bounded and unbounded RGB spaces; but there are better;
perhaps CIE based color spaces to cover many needs currently covered
by 'Value'.
