gimp.org is down

I guess you have noticed by now, but just to make sure since I couldn't 
find any mention of this on the lists:

at least since yesterday, gimp.org is down (and according to 
isitdownrightnow.com, it's global, not just me)

is this scheduled maintenance or is there some kind of problem?
