Replying to myself. :) The latest git source still crashes on gimp_tile_get on both Mac (Snow-Leopard 64-bit) and Windows 7 (64-bit). I am guessing it does not on some variant of Linux? My trace says that there is an issue with gimp-tile.c. I personally am not able to spot any issues there but perhaps more trained eyes may be able to find something?
