work on the unified geometry tool has been kicked into another gear
this week. Mikael and I are discussing different aspects and
the spec is taking strides again.

so yes, ‘from centre’ is gone and now scaling and shearing
can be done (optionally) from the rotation axis, which has
been relabelled ‘pivot’ for its new, multi-purpose role.
