Mitch, Thanks! for fixing the bug with rounded rectangle select and friends!! I have been testing Gimp 2.8 with this fix and so far no issues. Matter of fact, the bugfix also fixed the advanced tone mapping script at the same time. The script-fu window sits on the dock throughout the session but you already know that. :) A minor price to pay. I posted a screenshot on gimpchat.com.
