I am actually unsure if the Zoom tool really should be a tool. It is the only tool that does not affect the image, but the display of the image (the measure-tool at least lets you create guides). At least for me it is an annoyance: I never really use it and if I use it I am annoyed that it does not switch back to the previously used tool.
