But you can easily work around it by assigning Ctrl-S to > "Save As". I'd advise making ^S to be Quit. Then you'll be prompted, realise your mistake, and quickly stop using ^S. That way when you install a new gimp and accidentally lose your settings, you will already have stopped using ^S :) For my part I miss "save a copy as..." which in some programs saves the file like Save As but doesn't change the filename of what's being edited. I wonder if it'd be possible, for gimp 2.6, to consider unifying the output plugins a bit, so that you can have a pull-down of file formats and see the parameters for each format before you hit save, and maybe even have printf-like stuff in the filename, e.g. to name the file mypicture-%Wx%H-%{quality}.%T or whatever. But I think we can live without it for 2.4, for my part at least :-) Liam -- Liam Quin - XML Activity Lead, W3C, http://www.w3.org/People/Quin/ Pictures from old books: http://fromoldbooks.org/ Ankh: irc.sorcery.net irc.gnome.org www.advogato.org _______________________________________________ Gimp-developer mailing list Gimp-developer@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx https://lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU/mailman/listinfo/gimp-developer
