I think this is a bug. If not, then it's a serious application design issue. Shift+Q on grayscale pictures ignores color setup for quick mask. Default red appears as mid intensity gray which makes this great functionality useless on most occasions (for mottled pictures almost always). Any thought or should I go for filling a bug report?!
