cvs.gnome.org is completely web-viewable:

cross-referenced source tree of the current development branch:

    http://cvs.gnome.org/lxr/source/gimp

bonsai view (a powerful cvs query tool) of the current development
  branch:

    http://cvs.gnome.org/bonsai/rview.cgi?rev=&dir=gimp&module=default&cvsroot=%2Fcvs%2Fgnome

bonsai view of the gimp-1-2 branch:

    http://cvs.gnome.org/bonsai/rview.cgi?rev=gimp-1-2&dir=gimp&module=default&cvsroot=%2Fcvs%2Fgnome

I think this should be sufficient. If you disagree we should try to
enhance cvs.gnome.org. Using a separate cvs tree is a very bad idea IMO.

Salut, Sven
