The fine thing is, that the solution for:

- macro recording
- repeat last
- tracing (for development tools)
- pdb debugging

Is the same, so fixing one (I suggest the macro recording problem) will
make the others very easy.

Soo... I am very certain that all this will be fixed quite automatically..

The question is rather, who is responsible for patches that are already
applied but are in a dubious state?
