Does this really happen during configure, or later during make?
Could you replace your gimp/plug-ins/perl/Gimp.xs by the version I'll send
ysou in seperate mail (to not clutter the list) and see wether that helps?

i18n & perl is relatively new, so you probably hit a bug with
--disable-nls. On what OS is this?
