Hi,here is a list for amendment which I noticed. ----------Layer masks can be added to a layer without any alpha channel. When the layer mask is applied, the layer gets its own alpha channnel. It can be seen at the Layers dialog: the font face of the layer name becomesbold to normal.
dialogs/layer-mask.xml To create a layer mask start with a right click on the layer to call the context menu and select <guilabel>Add layer mask</guilabel>- in the menu. If the menu item is grayed first select- <guilabel>Add Alpha channel</guilabel> in the same menu. A dialog+ in the menu. A dialog appears where you can initialize the content of the mask:
menus/layer/mask-add.xml The <guimenuitem>Add Layer Mask</guimenuitem> command adds a layer mask to the active layer. It displays a dialog in which you can set the initial properties of the mask. If the layer already has a layer mask,- or if it cannot have one because it does not have an alpha channel, the- menu entry is insensitive and grayed out.+ the menu entry is insensitive and grayed out. </para> <para>
menus/layer/mask-add.xml The <guimenuitem>Apply Layer Mask</guimenuitem> command merges the layer mask with the current layer. The transparency information in the layer mask is transferred to the alpha channel and the layer mask is- removed. If the active layer does not have a layer mask, the menu entry+ removed. Then the layer get its own alpha channel in case it does not+ exist. If the active layer does not have a layer mask, the menu entry is insensitive and grayed out. See the <link linkend="gimp-layer-mask">Layer Masks</link>
---------The Toolbox menubar issue.
menus/file/new.xml <itemizedlist> <listitem> <para>- You can access the command from either the Toolbox menubar or the- Image menubar through:+ You can access the command from the menubar through: <menuchoice> <guimenu>File</guimenu>
----------On Module Manager, it seems that some buttons and a column of the mainlist are removed.
xml/menus/edit/module-manager.xml
-----------Paths Tool Option dialog has one suit of radio buttons, one checkbox, and two buttons: <guibutton>Stroke Path</guibutton> and<guibutton>Selection from Path</guibutton>, but no<guibutton>Selection to Path</guibutton.
dialogs/path-dialog.xml </listitem>- <listitem>- <para>- From the <guilabel>Selection to Path</guilabel> button in- the Tool Options for the Path tool.- </para> </listitem>
-----------Pointer dialog's context menu does not have preview-icons submenu.
dialogs/pointer-dialog.xml <title><quote>Pointer</quote> dialog options</title>- <para>- As in every dialog that contains preview icons, you can control the- preview images in the tab menu. To get more informations about that- topic read <xref linkend="gimp-concepts-docks"/>.- </para>
-----------Desaturate command has been promoted to a tool, so now it can be activatedanytime, even if the active image's mode is not RGB. Of cource, it can donothing on grayscale or indexed images.
toolbox/tool-desaturate.xml <note> <para lang="en"> This command only works on layers of- <link linkend="glossary-rgb">RGB</link> images. If the image is in- Grayscale or Indexed mode, the menu entry is insensitive and grayed out.+ <link linkend="glossary-rgb">RGB</link> images. </para> </note>
