Not a good idea, we shouldn't write bad XML code just because of xml2po's way to handle some special tags. I'd prefer to patch tools/xml2po to produce more meaningful output like "<guiicon-placeholder>". But this would make tools/xml2po definitely incompatible with the standard xml2po program... Ulf
