it think thats the case with my build - im using only the default
configs (to my understanding) and i get far less from -print-multi-libs

is there a changes to get the correct defaults when im using configure
on the gcc 3.4.0 - on the legacy platform itself - with the gcc that was
used for building gcc-3.3.1 - the configure output should tell me the
defaults, right?

its just an idea because i don't know if am just able to build fresh
pulls from the old versions on the old cygwin itself - worth a try?
