Re: why some gcc/guality tests fail unless gcc built with -mtune=generic on x86_64? is there a GCC test suite 'enter GDB on failure' option?

I can add an explicit extra breakpoint in a test version of guality.h,
@ line 260, where it is setting the current breakpoint:
     b %i\n\
     b 368\n\
Then if any code goes to the "FAIL ..." printf on line 368, gdb breaks;
but then one has to debug that hung gdb separately to query exactly
which test has failed & see why.
Maybe this could be streamlined in some way?
