The strange thing is that it used to work. I am not bootstrapping gcc on regular basis, and it's several months ago since I bootstrapped trunk (same OS, same build-gcc, etc.) Some voices say it's an Ubuntu issue https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gcc-defaults/+bug/825574 but that dates back to 2011...
