I manage to build gcc 5.2.1 on AIX after all (I forgot to post the 
results on the list).

Initially the binutils version was 2.24. With this version where was 
no way to build gcc. After I upgrade binutils to 2.25.1 gcc was built just 
fine (with --enable-bootstrap option). More specific, I built first gcc 
5.2.1 without bootstrap, installed gcc and built gcc again with 
- --enable-bootstrap option.

So maybe you can try this too (install binutils 2.25.1).
You may also look for some Fedora's gcc rpm spec files 
(https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/builds) and try to start from there.
