No, it downloads them, unpacks them and renames the directories. GCC will then build those prerequisites automatically and will know how to link to them correctly. > How should I build it? As it says at http://gcc.gnu.org/wiki/InstallingGCC If you do that correctly it works, so apparently you are not doing it correctly.
