Hi, I have been just trying to add support for adding some custom format specifiers, just for learning purpose. I have downloaded the 4.8.2. I realize that it is important to know about the gcc architecture, design and implementation. While browsing through the net, I can see many docs available (eg: http://gcc.gnu.org/onlinedocs, http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/GNU_C_Compiler_Internals/GNU_C_Compiler_Architecture etc).
